WELCOME!
The Blackhawk Equestrian Riding Academy offers English riding lessons and coaching to children (7 and older) and adults. The goal of our program is to teach students how to ride, handle and groom horses safely and to the best of their ability as well as continue to build success for advanced riders. Our quality lesson horses and ponies are selected for their generous dispositions and safe manners to help students learn the fundamentals of riding from beginner to the intermediate and advanced levels. Learning to jump over a course of jumps is included in the lesson program for those who wish and are able to. Jumping is not required and the extensive nature of horse riding offers many other riding opportunities.
WINTER RIDING LESSONS
We teach and ride year round, yes lessons continue through the cold and windy months! Lessons offered for riders 7 and above, Monday-Friday afternoons and occasional Saturdays as the schedule allows. If you are interested in trying your hand at riding or are ready for a refresher we would love to schedule a barn tour and show you around! Just call or text 916-577-0737.

SPRING BEGINNING RIDER SESSIONS
We are now taking reservations for our spring, six week beginning rider sessions. Session include one, 60 minute class per week on your choice of Mondays or Tuesdays at 5pm for riders 7-14. Sessions are $300 per rider. Check out the Beginner Sessions tab in the menu for more information!
